In 2004 I applied for SSD, of course denied. Hired an attorney. I ordered all of my medical charts because I was able to get most of them for free. In 2004 I had to quit working because I was gone more than I was at work. I wasn't able to perform my duties. Constantly doubling over with sharp pain. Tried to do the books in the back, but I still had to go out front to help. I worked for DMV. 2005 went to Germany, had 2 surgeries with Dr. K. was doing famously! 7 weeks post-op got hurt, 8 weeks post-op was rehired with DMV. From get injured was starting to have the sharp stabbing pains again. Aug. 2006 got hurt again, messed me up even more. Feb. 2007 had my Gallbladder removed, that was basically it! Ended up quitting again in 2007. Dec. 2007 finally had my SSD hearing. The things that helped with my case were, 1 doctor put down in my records, that all I want to do is get well, return back to my job and get my life back. Along with adhesions I also have: gastroparesis, depression ( who doesn't with adhesions?) IBS. I was 49 at the time also. What I'm trying to say is don't give up, keep trying. I was blessed to have my Gastro and Family Dr's. fill out my paperwork correctly and truthfully. My previous Boss was suppose to, but she never did. Lots of prayers too! I did get SSd in Dec. 2007. Did not get any back pay because I kept trying to work, so I had been paid. It still took til Dec. 2009 to get Medicare. Thankfully I have both of them now. Good Luck to all!!
