Question about GI series

This morning I had an upper GI series and follow through (the one where
you drink the stuff & have a series of x-rays). They told me it would
take anywhere from half an hour to 1.5 hours, but it actually took
almost 3 hours. I read somewhere that you should take extra Metamucil
etc for a few days after the test, which I will do when I get home
tonight.
When they did the last series of xrays, they pushed the machine actually
down on my abdomen. The left side was fine, but the right side hurt
(enough to take my breath away). Then it got better for a couple of
hours, but now it's getting worse and worse. Is this normal? It the
same as the adhesion pain, but worse. It's not extreme, but I wonder if
anyone has had this?
