Hi Tammy - thanks for your reply and to all the others who have replied. It makes me feel better knowing I am not the only one. I had the hysterectomy in 1975 for fibroids. One ovary was removed at that time because of cysts. Then in 1984 the other ovary became quite cystic and was removed. I had the pulling particularly after the second surgery. I was told there were a lot of adhesions this time and the ovary was adhering to the colon and had to be peeled off.

I asked a surgeon about adhesions in general. He said the best thing to do is to avoid stressing the area; i.e. lifting something too heavy, keeping intestines working well, etc. I would guess colon spasms could aggravate this too.

I guess a lot of people live with many health problems. It gets discouraging sometimes. These support groups are comforting. My best to all of you. Gwen
