Dear Timmerri,

There is a group of surgeons in Pennsylvania, and Dr. Korrel in Germany. These docors specialize in advanced adhesiolysis laparoscopic surgery.

I am having surgery at an Adhesions Clinic in Pensylvania March 15, there is also Dr. Korrel, who has helped several on this site. If you need contact info, let us know.

I decided to go to PA after talking to people who have had great results and relief from these doctors, from corresponding with Dr. Redan, and from reading as much as I could. Here, I feel I have the greatest chance of relief from ARD for an extended amount of time...maybe even forever!

If you have not added your name to the Adhesions Quilt or read through the stories there, I hope that you will. I have been fortunate in that I have only had 2 surgeries, I had previously resolved that I would have to have adhesiolysis on a regular basis....Finding these PA doctors has changed that way of thinking for the better

The greatest lesson I have learned from this site is that we need surgeons that are specialized...any old surgeon who (and this could be the surgeon rated "best" in your city")...can make your condition much much worse. I would encourage you to spend alot of time reading through the archived messages, and really start educating yourself on this disease, so that you can make the right decisions for your care.

I have struggled with all of the questions that you asked, there are no easy answers...the important thing to do is educate yourself to ARD.

I understand your frustration, we all do...this is not an easy predicament to be in...but I am glad you found the IAS site, I only found it in December...yes, you have stumbled onto a world of support...wonderful people that will help you, guide you, and love you.

Please feel free to e-mail me privately, I'd be happy to help you in any way that I can.

Warmest Regards,

Janet
