Rectal bleeding is not a sign from IBS, but my son lost ALOT of blood rectally 3 years ago, and his colonoscopy, showed his colon was 95% ulcerated the. He was diagnoesed with IBD, and right now his pathology has pointed to both UC and crohns, so they cannot tell right now.

My son lost ALOT of blood, bt I know IBS there IS no blood. He is the oe who has to take Asacol the rest of his life. He is 23 now, I am fearing any surgery right now, b/c the stress has me smoking TOO much again, after stopping for 2 months, I am extremely afraid of mre surgey, but as time goes on, and he push for Christmas, I have been in ALOT of pain and tears lately. By the time my husband gets home the make up is a mess, I am tired of crying daily now!

Love you all! Toni
