Meg, Sorry That I haven't responded sooner.I too have also had a adhesion barrier used the last time that I had adhesions lysed,Which was April 29th,1999.The barrier that was used was Interceed and sorry to say that I do not feel that the barrier has worked at all.Within 2 weeks after surgery the pain returned. The only true way of knowing whether the barrier helped at all would be to have a 2nd look laporoscopy performed to see if the barrier slowed down the formation of the adhesions.Although it has never been mentioned to me about doing a 2nd look laporoscopy to see. With what I have had to endure the past year I feel as though I have had enough surgery at this time but I might consider it if it was proposed to me.Good Luck with your surgery on Thursday and know that we will all be thinking and praying for you. Please let us know how everything goes.
