Meg, Sorry That I haven't responded sooner.I too have also had a
adhesion barrier used the last time that I had adhesions lysed,Which was
April 29th,1999.The barrier that was used was Interceed and sorry to say
that I do not feel that the barrier has worked at all.Within 2 weeks
after surgery the pain returned.The only true way of knowing whether the
barrier helped at all would be to have a 2nd look laporoscopy performed
to see if the barrier slowed down the formation of the
adhesions.Although it has never been mentioned to me about doing a 2nd
look laporoscopy to see. With what I have had to endure the past year I
feel as though I have had enough surgery at this time but I might
consider it if it was proposed to me.Good Luck with your surgery on
