Hi Peggy:

You can have an endometrioma inside the ovary. I guess that would be like a cyst. When I had my ultrasounds before my first lap, both ovaries showed endometriomas and he pointed them out. They were oval type shapes within the ovary. He thought they were too small to be causing trouble and the fact that I was 47 he felt that they would be shrinking soon so he didn't remove them during the lap.

In your situation, with your regular doctor away, your report could be overlooked. Better follow up yourself by calling the office.
