Hey Mark, Please research this thoroughly and contact the C.A.P.P.S. clinic at Celebration Hospital in Florida. Here's the link and they people there will talk to you over the phone. David Wiseman, PhD, is a researcher who has dedicated his life to the search for cures and treatments that will help those of us with adhesion disorders. Here's the link to the C.A.P.P.S. clinic, and the link to adhesions.org is sponsored by David Wiseman...hopefully you can find a way to talk directly to him.   http://www.adhesions.org/contact.htm   http://www.celebrationhealth.com/services/center-complex-abdominal-and-pelvi c-pain-syndrome

Subject: Small Bowel Transplant

My wife has less tha 3 feet of bowel left.  They are trying to rehabilitate her bowel, with little success.  She is on TPN and just started enteral feeding.  She constantly gets blood infections and partial bowel obstructions.  She has spent 1 out of every 3 days in the hospital over the last 2 years.  Her doctor put her on the BRAT diet to rehabilitate the bowel -- resulted in partial obstruction.  We are considering a small bowel transplant and was wondering if anyone has gone down that path.
