Ann Marie, That's strange because of all the meds I've been on, my husband too wants me

off the Actiq. I don't know what it is...maybe it changes me in some subtle way. I know I'm more forgetful when I'm on it, but I take the Actiq 600 micrograms (mcg) every 4 to 6 hours. Otherwise, the pain is too much to take. I have, however, been able to wean down to every 12 when I've been doing pretty good. The only problem is that the Actiq is especially physically addicting and one of the hardest to get off of for the physical symptoms of withdrawal. It gives me a severe headache, vomiting for two to three days, dehydration, severe anxiety attacks, deep depression, and the craving is overwhelming. Maybe that's why my husband hates it so much!
