Do you have a General Practitioner that you could consult on this? It might not be a bad idea to go for a second opinion.
I personally have had a colonoscopy before each laparascopic (sp) surgery I've had, to rule out other possible problems. I have IBS. I don't know if the IBS is a byproduct of my adhesions or a coincidence, but I do know that for *me*, the colonoscopy had good results (meaning it wasn't dangerous) despite the fact that I did indeed have pelvid adhesions and that my colon was adhered to my fallopian tube and ovary.
