Dear Mandy, I had a c-section in Oct 83 and got adhesions from that. I went on and had 2 more babies even with adhesions. You can have a baby even though you have adhesions unless the adhesions are preventing you from becoming pregnant. With my last one, july 1, 87, I heard the Dr say there were alot of adhesions. Of course, I didn't know exactly what they were or the problems they would cause me later. You may want to get a second opinion from another ob/gyn if you are concerned about it. Both my daughters have had their appendix out. A year ago my then 15 year old had hers out. They did it the old way with a long scar. July 30, my oldest daughter had her baby and a week later had her appendix out laprascopicly. So far (knock on wood, & fingers crossed) they are not having any adhesion pain. I do know that it could take years for any problems to show up. Just don't take one Drs opinion as the absolute truth and give up on having more children. robin M
