Yes, A Hyst can definitely cause more adhesions and allot of times even worse, even if done laproscopically. "Most" of us on the board have had hysterectomies, most unnecessary. It has been the easy way out with doctors saying it would stop our problems, only to cause more.

You are the only one who can decide what is best for you, but unless I "definitely" knew there was a medical problem warranting a hyst I wouldn't jump into it.

Since adhesions do usually come back I do and would wait until problems & pains are totally disabling and a major affect in quality of life. Even then most of us are on pain meds to try to help us function knowing another surgery might not be the answer. Some come out of adhesion surgery and have relief for months or years(as usually with me),others never even get one day of relief, some even have worse pains. It is definitely a gamble. JEAN
