I have been on Amitrpytiline (Elavil) in the past, and may have had some success with it. Being that I didn't have a full flare up of pain anyways, but who knows if that is why? Since I think the obstruction happened after the fact. I went off of it, but now my docs are putting me back on. I wanted to know if anyone else had any experiences with this drug and if they were successful and any other information they had on their personal experiences with it, dosages, too.
Also, I was wondering how long adhesions continue to grow for after surgery, if they continue indefinately, and also, if they adhese to an organ (in my case, the Colon)do they untangle themsevles, or just stay there forever?
