Dear Denise,
Welcome to the site. Boy, you are in the right place. Many here,
myself included have had the same troubles as you. First the bad news,
there is really no fool proof adhesion barrier on the market today. My
surgeon used seprafilm during my hyst. and well, here we are. The good
news is
by being here you can help empower yourself by educating yourself about
your conditions and hopefully work with your docs to help you be
comfortable. Pour throught this site and read all you can. Punch in
your symptoms and conditions to the message archives and see what other
have been thru. I think of medicine today as if us patients are a large
herd of cattle in a pen that need their hormones or whatever injected.
The cowboys try to get thru the line as quickly as possible and god help
that whiney cow who does not do what it is told. Ah, so I'm not great
at parables but my intent was that by being aware of all that may and
may not happen to you, the docs can't possibly keep up with what each
and every thing that goes on in the rapidly changing world of medicine.
It is up to you to educate yourself about all the latest on your
conditions. In this site you will find out how to reasearch, how to
work WITH your docs and most important of all, that you are not
suffering alone. We are all here for you.
To ask any question you want or just to rant and rave. We understand
what is happening to you and will always be here for you. The endo is a
devil and the lesions can be deep and fibrotic. Not all docs know what
to look for when removing this deep type of endo and I am sorry one so
young has been put thru a hyst. Please consider putting your story on
the quilt. The IAS is working on many levels to try to make things
better for us all. Your story would surly help. My email is at the top
of this post. Feel free anytime or just post on the board. Someone
will always try their best to answer your questions or at least point
you in the right direction.
Welcome sister. You are not alone. ( don't mean to sound "Cult like")
Love,
