Denise,
just wondering if you are pleased you had a hyst? My soon to be 27
year old daughter sounds so similar to you. We went to an endo specialist in
California in Sept and she had surgery there for adhesions and endo . She
also had "allen masters" pockets. She did not have a hyst.
Thanks,
Karen

Subject: Adhesions after usng Interceed
First off, I am a 27 Yr old WF who has endometriosis and pelvic adhesion
disease. I had a complete hysterectomy with removal of ovaries and
cervix. My doc in July 2001 used Interceed after the surgery to try and
help the production of adhesions/scar tissue. I just flew to GA in the
beginning of Dec to have surgery with an endo specialist. I forgot to
mention that during the hyst, it was supposed to take 2 hours and ended
up being a 5 and a half hour surgery because I had so many adhesions. My
intestines were attached to my abdominal cavity and things were stuck to
my bladder, etc. So, this laparoscopy I had Dec 11, showed no endo,
yeah, but I had alot of adhesions again, the majority of my intestines
in my lower adomen were attached to the my abdominal cavity again.
My question is if the Interceed did not work the first time, and my new
doc after this surgery used it, what are the chances in another year I
will be in excruciating, debillitating pain again? I know that with each
surgery there is the chance of further adhesions and scar tissue, but,
it has been proven that the adhesions cause severe pain for me that I
cannot deal with.

Are there woman out there that who every year or so go in for a
laparascopy to remove the adhesions so they are not in pain and can live
a normal life?
Any advice ia apprectiated and welcomed. Thank you in advance.
Denise
