Hello Lola,

Welcome to the board. It sounds like your doctor has left you with too many questions and not enough answers! You can sometimes experience a hernia where a previous surgery site, however what you are describing sounds more like adhesions pain to me, as it is a similar description of what I originally experienced.

If I could turn back the clock two years, I doubt I would have had that hysterectomy, but I can't so what I do is try to encourage people to think carefully, do LOADS of research, ask buckets of questions here and get SEVERAL medical opinions before deciding on any treatment. I would look at pain management at this stage, as there is a new adhesions barrier that will be available in the US in early 2004 and then, when anyone has surgery because of adhesions.... they can ask for the new SprayGel Barrier to be used.

My story can be found on http://www.bombobeach.com under ARD stories, mine is Jo's Story at the top of the page. The rest of my story can be found on the homepage titled "My successful SprayGel experience", yes SprayGel is already being used in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Germany, Belgium and a few other European countries. The FDA is currently running trials in your country as we speak.

I hope this helps, please visit us often and let us know how you are coping.

Love & warm gentle hugs, Jo
