c-section pelvic pain

I had a c-section 5 years ago. At first everything was great. Then a couple of years ago I noticed I had horrible pain, as if something was going to explode in my pelvis, everythime I bent over as if to tie my shoe or if I were in a sit up position. It happens frequently but not everytime. It has stopped me from doing certain stretches and yoga for I am so scared of getting the pain again. It was so painful that I have to to wait a few minutes for the pain to subside. I asked a doctor what it could be and she said it could be from the surgery. That they sew the sides of the uterus up and the stitching could be weak and possibly rupture. Is this explanation correct? As far as treatment there was none. Is this common? What can I do? Although the pain is not everyday ( because I limit my movements)it really feels like something in my stomach is going to explode! I would appreciate any advice anyone could give me. Thank you.
