Pain getting Worse & Worse

I've posted messages before. I'm 32, with several previous surgeries,
including many laporoscopies, hysterectomy (complete) at 27, another
laporoscopy, then a laporotomy w/ adhesion barrier (felt I had nothing
to lose with trying) this past November. I know the adhesion are back
again, and the pain is getting severely worse by day. I'm seeing a pain
specialist, who I do like (except for the fact that I have to wait 4
hours to see him), but I'm taking 180 lortabs a month! I'm not sleeping
due to the pain. It's affecting every aspect of my life. The last two
times I've had surgery, my family practictioner had to admit me to the
hospital to have a surgical consultation, because I would go see a
surgeon at offices, and they wouldn't touch me. I understand surgeries
will just cause the problem again, but, if I do continue to wait, seems
like it will just get worse until I have a bowel obstruction. I just
want to have a normal life again. This has been going on 1/2 my life
now. I'm at the point that I want to go to sleep & not wake up, because
I'm tired of being in pain. I'm now in therapy because this has caused
severe depression. Any comments/suggestions?
I really like this website, and appreciate anything that anyone has to
say. I understand that most everyone says surgery isn't the answer, but
from what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong), the adhesions will
continue to grow until they are removed.
Thank you everyone, and God Bless!
