Dear Jen, You are right somethings that work for some don't work for others and yes you need to have faith that something will work ~But~ you are one of the lucky ones that has found a compassonate Dr. that is willing to go to extreme lengths to help you and you should be very thankful for that! Because I have yet to find a Dr. that has a heart for my adhesion problems and I have been to many!!I have lost all faith in the medical field and the only thing that keeps me going is my family,my friends here and my wonderful Lord and Savior! I am also sorry but (I) "DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ADHESIONS JUST GO AWAY" because if they did we would not even need this web site or message board! I am not telling you your DR. is wrong By no means!! This is just the way I feel and from all the things I have read and seen over the years I have yet to hear someone say they just went away!!! Peace be with you! So belief and a strong will on my doctor and my part is all that keeps me and my family going rite now. He is constantly adding treatments and dose not think my body can do it itself rite now as my letter said, he keeps searching for new alternatives, and I research them before trying them, we do not go on the belief that my body alone can do it or I wouldn't need him, we just believe that surgery only makes me worse and so we must try other things. And we know that the human body when operating efficiently dose heal itself if the trauma is not to big. I am not here to disclaim anyone else's solutions, just to say we are all different, and we all need support , advice from me or anyone should be taken as just that , not law but advice, take it or leave it believe or don't . What works for you may not for me and the other way around. I do not think I know more then anyone else, but if everyone here had found the perfect solution, we would not need this message board. Only God or whoever you believe in as your higher power knows all the answers. All Doctors simply practice and some are better then others , I would never tell someone that a doctor they believe in is wrong, I don't know them or their doctor. What ever works for you is great, same for me, whatever works. Peace to you Jen

The only good thing about adhesions is that they stop forming within a couple of weeks after the event that caused their formation, whether it be surgery or abdominal trauma. In the past there have been NO barriers that have proven to be effective either. But, now there is hope. SprayGel has proven to be effective on a number of people. Unfortunately, it is not yet available in the U.S. People are having to travel to Germany to get it...which in and of itself is not a bad thing seeing as Dr. Korell is one of only a small handful of doctors capable of successfully dealing with adhesions. To all you new people, there are thousands of doctors out there who can remove adhesions and will do so at the drop of a hat, but I can count on one hand the doctors that are skilled enough to at least reduce their reformation. If you have doctors who are refusing to do surgery for you count your blessings. I know that you don't want to continue to live in pain, but the length of time that you will be without pain will be brief and chances are quite likely that when it returns it will be worse then ever. A doctor who says no is the best thing you have going for you until you can get to a doctor who knows what he is doing and can use the SprayGel.

Adhesions will not go away by themselves naturally any more than scar tissue on the outside of your body will go away naturally. I have had adhesions for 40 years, the rest of my body and mind is perfectly healthy, and the adhesions have only gotten worse and caused more problems. I have tried herbal teas and medicines, and until a year ago was extremely active. The pain caused by the adhesions has now gotten so bad that I can't even do my own housework.

                 A Prayer For Relief
Send down your angel who in his mercy gives comfort and
relief to those who suffer. Let the sick and infirm be
healed. Lighten and relieve their pain. Let them have
respite from suffering that they may see your light.
Let healing come swiftly with the dawn.Blessed are you,
O Lord, who uphold the sick on their bed of Sorrow! May
their days once more be good and their years be Happy!
Blessed are you, who uphold, save, and restore the sick.
