Dear Pam I had my hysterectomy done abdominally. It took me almost a year to feel like myself again. A friend of mine had hers vaginally & with in a couple of weeks she was up & about again. The less tramatic the surgery, the better. Don't worry too much, if they thought there was too much adhesions, they would have wanted to do it open abdominal. Robin
