Hi, just thought that I`d let you know that I had adhesions after suffering a leaking appendix. They operated to remove the mess (and my appendix), but I suffered very badly with adhesions afterwards. This was made worse by further operations for hernia and hysterectomy . The only thing that helped was deep massage. Here in England, it has been offered experimentally by some hospital physio departments, (free of charge). I had 2 halfhour sessions a week for nearly 2 months, and they really made a difference.I will not say that I am totally pain free, but I am much, much better. As I understand it, the adhesions are caused by exposing the internal organs to the air. The massage gradually seperates the adhesions without exposing the organs, and allows natural healing to take it`s course.
