Hi I'm new to this board. Hopefully I've come to the right place to find some answers. Let me try to tell you briefly what I've been through in the past couple years. I had my first laproscopy in Oct 2000. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and ovarian cyst. My doctor removed all of it that he could but he said it was so severe that he would have to continue to treat me for it after the surgery. I was then put on Lupron which did nothing except make me insane! The pain quickly came back and I ended up having another lap in Feb 2001. This time for a ruptured cyst. After that I pretty much stayed in pain all the time. I made it until June then it happened again. I had another cyst rupture this time on my left ovary. I had a partial oopherectomy and numerous other cyst and endo removed. It was almost like it all grew back overnight! Two weeks later I was back in the hospital having the rest of my left ovary and part of my right removed. My doctor promised me this would be the end of it. Then again 2 weeks later on July 27th I had a full Hysterectomy. I just couldn't deal with the pain anymore and I thought that would be the end of it. Well~ it wasn't! I'm in constant pain now and my doctor has given up on me. I had my 6th surgery Dec. 7th to remove adhesions and scar tissue and I still hurt. I'm now seeing a pain specialist and I'm having a bilateral hypogastric nerve block done on Wednesday. I'm very nervous about this procedure because I don't know much about it. I'm not even sure it's the right thing to do. I just want to stop hurting! I'm only 28 and I want my life back! Sorry this was so long I really did try to keep it short. I just need some advice and to find someone else that has had this done. PLEASE HELP! Thanks,Kayci
