Dear Jeanne
I have had several surgeries for adhesions. My first surgery for
adhesions was in August 1985. That was after 2 c-sections. Then I had
another c-section, hysterectomy & then an open surgery for adhesions in
1998. In 1999, I had a laproscopic surgery for adhesions. In November
2000, I went to Germany & had 2 surgeries with Dr Korell. In Germany,
the gel was used on me & worked for about 4 months when the pain came
back. In August this year I had another open surgery for adhesions.
This time, seprafilm was used to wrap my intestines & bladder. I am now
having a little pain, but nothing like I was having. I do recomend
surgery, BUT, you need to check out the surgeon! No surgery is certain,
but the surgeon does make a difference. A specialist in adhesions is
highly recomended. Find out all you can about adhesions & be diligent
in your search for a Dr who can & will help you.
