Hi Shannon,

Welcome to the IAS board. Where do you live? That might help us in helping you find a doctor that is close. I know alot of the women go to PA for their surgery but some of us have been blessed to find good doctors in our own area that take care of us.

I have had 4 laparotomies and 3 laparoscopes, the last being a little over a week ago. I had a hysterectomy last June thinking that would solve all my problems. I had endometriosis real bad and stayed in constant pain with it. On top of that my body seemed to form constant ovarian cysts that hormones would not take care of. I could not take birth control pills due to a lesion they found on my brain. I am praying this last surgery will be it for me.

If you look in the archives on this website you can find diets that can be helpful to you. Helen Dynda is the local angel here who makes sure we all get educated (We love you, Helen!). She always puts posts on the board that are helpful and she has posted the different diets several times. If you look at the bottom of the page and type in the word diet, I believe you will find what you are looking for. Otherwise, Helen is your best bet on helping you with that. I do so hope you find what you are looking for. You will definitely find support here. Helen is the angel who educates us but everyone else are angels of support too! I have never known such caring people before in all my life. I know that you will find this to be true as you stick around and get to know some of them. I hope I can be of some help and support to you as well. Take care! I hope you have many pain free days!

Love, Jenny
