Oh, thank you...your questions helped me understand adhesions a lot better. I would like to hear more about them getting tougher over time. That is a serious concern. Do you know how tough the thick dense vascular type get? I thought I was the only one...when I sit oh my jeepers...aghhh...talking pain...I've always tried explain to folks why I am always standing...doesn't seem as bad a sitting or laying...even if it's doing nothing....my doctor was trying to figure this out. He thought I should have more pain when standing...also there is pain in the back (in my back)directly behind the pain in the front which is where my belly puckers in...any ideas? I have the same excruciating pain when I lay down at night, if not more...he sort of figured that out...he said you are laying on your side aren't you? I told him yes. He said don't. When on my side, my legs are sort of the way they are in a sitting position....but laying on my belly is totally out of the question and laying on my back pulls unreal even the incisional scars...I have horizontal and vertical starting at sternum and connecting to horizontal going to each hip...there is one spot that is drawn in very deeply as though something inside is pulling the skin inside...it gives my belly the appearance of having two halves to my belly and then a deep gorge where it pulls in...very deep...hurts over that area a lot.

Do adhesions cause pain other than from intestinal related problems? What other pain do they cause? Could the ones in the uterus/bladder area cause pain? What nerve sensors do we have within the belly? Where would it be possible for us to feel pain? Also, the inflammation...can internal inflammation cause pain? Do you know how?

exercise...eekkk...oh my no way other than walking....when the inflammation happens i run a fever...I did two very careful and cautious bounces...without my feet leaving the mat, on a trampoline just to appease my children...I went back in the house and did not go back outside for over a month. Not good at all

Could you explain the part about sitting and the intestines not being able to move up and to the back of the person? I've not been able to understand the deep severe pain caused by sitting but I didn't know the intestines moved up and to the back could you explain this so I can get a picture in my head of how this works? What about the uterus and bladder? My uterus and bladder look as though they are one and several surgeons have attempted to remove the uterus but have been very unsuccessful and it's caused serious problems The bowel as well is attached there unable to safely be freed up. Are those two organs supposed to, "free float" as well...I always feel horrible pain in this area ...it's also where the belly pulls in at least a quarter inch inward. I know I have problems with my bladder...hurts a lot...takes me sometimes ten to thirty minutes to pee and anything in the bladder causes pain...they think probably a fistula , very small, between bladder and intestines is a high probability. I know there was an injury to the area.

Gee I wish someone would write a book...from the patient's perspective...I'd bet it would sell. I'll buy a copy. Even put drawings in there...I don't understand how and why adhesions have changed my life...I just know that they have. I don't understand the physiology but would desperately like to...after all it is my body and I do want to take care of it...inside and out.

I almost spent money to have the adhesions dealt with through some external laser...almost...but it just didn't make any sense to me at all. Thank you
