Hi Rhonda,

I wanted to respond to some of your questions. Normally a GYN will not remove a gall bladder. It is quite common for the GYN and general surgeon to work together because the more dense adhesions the longer the surgery. You are right, GYNs are more likely to work on adhesions because the one objective problem they cause is infertility. GYNs will release them so the woman can get pregnant. If the adhesiolysis does not work then they will usually move on to in vitro type procedures. Normally - unless they cause a total bowel obstruction, the general surgeons won't do much for adhesions due to the liklihood of just creating more.
