Hi Jennifer and welcome! I understand what you are going through with
and I am sorry. I have had 3 acute bowel obstructions. I have
extensive adhesions throughout the abdomen involving small as well as
large intestine. My symptoms include severe abdominal pain, nausea,
vomiting and abdominal distention. During one of my surgeries my
intestine was nicked and I hemorrhaged. This of course has led to more
adhesions. One of my doctors has me taking mineral oil in a glass of
orange juice at bedtime. This had really helped my intestinal problems.
This forum has provided me with having the opportunity to share
experiences with others who know exactly how I feel. This has been a
