Hi Peggy,

I went the Lupron route for six months. I personally don't recommend it to anyone. One of the worst things I have ever been through. I do not suffer from migraines (thank god) but when I was on Lupron I had horrible migraine headaches the entire six months. Lupron can put you in a full state of menepause and since you are depleted of estrogen when on the drug I don't think it would be the answer for you. I also suffered from bone pain and hot flashes that came on every hour. In addition, I was unable to sleep the entire time I was on the drug. For all of us who suffer chronic pain, we know how important sleep can be. I have heard of good results with the drug for endo and fertility problems though so I don't mean to preach. There is a web site for those who suffer long term problems after the use of Lupron and I was sent a six page list of problems that you can continue to have after taking Lupron so I think you may be doing the right thing by taking the BC and waiting. I am of course not a professional but would recommend anyone considering Lupron therapy to do their research on this one. I hope the pain management helps you out in the interim. I know none of us wants more surgery but it can be the only chance to get a few pain free months. Take care Peggy and keep us informed of your progress. Ginny
