Pelvic Surgery

Hi - I'm new and so glad I found this board. I am having a laparoscopy, possible laparotomy, in 2 weeks for a "pelvic mass". This "mass" is probably a dilated fallopian tube but it also could be an ovarian cyst (6.5 cms). I am 40 and had surgery at 23 to repair fallopian tubes and lyse adhesions which were dense at that time. 6 year ago I had another laparoscopy and the surgical report said peritubular adhesions and adhesions covering the left ovary, left tube hydrosalpinxed. My guess is that the left side is totally glued together which is why they cannot discern whether I have a cyst or not (although they do see water in the dilated tube). This is a new doc. since my original surgery was done in Denver by a specialist and now I reside in Florida. There are only ob/gyns in the town I live. My question is: should he be able to remove the fallopian tube and ovary through the laprascope? I think the laparotomy is if he finds an ovarian cyst. Also - I can relate to everyone's pain although, fortunately, mine is bad at ovulation and menustration mainly. Actually, I have one to two good weeks per month but I've been this way so long I'm just used to it. Does anyone else have sharp pains when they urinate? This only happens about a week before my period. I also have a deep pain that's hard to describe. This sounds disgusting but it feels like it's in my rectum. It sometimes hurts or I feel pressure when I sit down. Incidentally, I weight train and do cardio excercise at least 4 times per week which I really think helps with the pain. Thanks for being here!!!
