Hi Ginny Yes, celebex is by prescription.I think it is fairly new (and expensive) I know people who can't take aspirin and other nonsteroidal antiinflammatories can take celebrex. I don't know if it would work for your problem though. Some people think Ultram is the greatest, others don't like it. I think levbid is for bowel spasms, but I'm not sure. Don't they sometimes give that to people with IBS and the thinking is now that it is a disorder of the motility of the bowel so that it goes into irregular spasms and do not function properly.
