It is hard to believe, but 10 years have sped by since our survey on adhesions and information given to patients about them prior to surgery. Our results were published in the medical literature and presented at international conferences. More importantly our research has been widely quoted by doctors and scientists - a great tribute to our efforts and a measure of the impact of the International Adhesions Society - a true grassroots effort.
We now want to track how things have changed for patients having surgery and are conducting a follow-up survey in which your participation is needed.
