Hi Shay, When I read that you had just "lost your insurance" I got a little confused. I'm Australian - live in Melbourne, and I quickly remembered that your health system was very different from ours. If we have a problem with our insurance (maybe we haven't paid - or can't), our insurance companies actually give people who are in medical trouble a "break". They ask us to fix them up when we can, but it is still fantastic for those who need it. I actually haven't been in that situation (yet!) however I have heard countless stories of this practice. On top of that, we have our public system, and you would be able to have a free surgery, possibly within a few weeks, depending on your condition (this is only for people with chronic conditions, not elective surgery). I actually thought your surgeon was doing the wrong thing by you - I have free private surgeries now and have since my fourth operation (I'm about to have my 7th). I understand that you will be using Pain Management, however if you have loops around your intestines (I suffer the same condition) you must have them out ASAP. I'm having my next op in 3 weeks. I wish you the best of luck, and I also wish you a painless day (I actually am having a better on today, myself!) Regards, Wendy
