The infomration that I've always been exposed to are the ones that pop up on Google ads when I'm looking up somoething adhesions related. I've always been skeptical that they are some kind of scam and haven't taken the time to read them further. I'm not familiar with the Dr. Andrew Weil site. I'm going to check that out. I remembered something that I had posted once on here while talking about Dr. Eric Johnson that i don't know if you saw. When we were talking about the successes he'd had with adhesions removal surgery, he commented that he'd done it successfully on 15 nurses alone. I asked him why so many nurses. He said they are more prone to getting adhesions after female/adbominal type surgeries because of the nature of their jobs, such as lifting patients, etc. I know that one needs to get up and move after surgery to get circulation moving, get your bowels moving and to avoid fluid buildup in your lungs and also to prevent potential clots from forming. From his comments about the lifting nurses do, I'm inferring that the strain of that is what causes more adhesions. Maybe that's the critical piece that helps avoid further development. I will ask him that questions when I'm in the hospital and will post his repsponse in my update when I get home. I also remembered something else that he and I discussed about my surgery that I was going to post to you today. He told me that his philosophical approach in my recovery is that we are a team and will work together to determine how long I should remain in the hospital, off of work, etc. I was pretty impressed with that, too. I've never heard a doctor speak in those terms before. Gentle hugs for a good day! Kris
