Re: Let's talk about symptoms!

Hello Joy,

Some people on this site have gotten relief after having laparascopic adhesiolysis using spraygel/sprayshield. I'm interested in finding out the percentage of success these doctors have had using this substance. Perhaps the doctor who has this website would know.

As soon as I can get ahead financially, I'm going to Dr. Semertizides in Cincinnati, Ohio. For those of you who don't know, Angel Flight, Orlando, FL will transport patients free of charge to hospitals located over 100 miles from home. They flew me to Scranton, PA where Dr. Redan and Dr. Reich performed laparascopic adhesiolysis on my abdomen. Unfortunately, the adhesions returned because at that time, the only barrier was interceed by Johnson and Johnson. Also, there's a "Cine MRI" that detects adhesions.

I'm miserable with these massive adhesions throughout my abdomen. My abdominal wall feels like one big charley horse. Some days I feel I can't go on any longer but somehow the good Lord gives me strength to make it through another day. I'm an outgoing, happy person but these painful adhesions have robbed me of a normal life.

Unless the doctor you're planning to do your surgery uses spraygel/sprayshield, it's doubtful your condition will get better.

May God bless all of you and help you find a way to get well.

Sincerely, Linda in Jacksonville, FL

jetstamp,

As for the name, I never heard "ARDS" before coming to this site. My doctors have all just called it "adhesion disease."
