While I agree that surgery for adhesions CAUSES adhesions, I have to say that I have now had 2 doctors tell me that if I wait and then have a bowel rupture, I will have even more problems. They said that I will be admitted to the E.R. and I will get whatever surgeon is available, regardless of how many or how few hours of sleep he/she has had.

He or she will only be interested in opening me up and saving my life, without any regard for being "careful" or "conservative" during the procedure.

Therefore it would seem (to me anyways), that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and that maybe having surgery to remove the adhesions is the way to go.

That's just me though.
