Perhaps you could ask your doctor to give you a Functional cine MRI.

A study out of Munich, Germany published in June 2008 shows that Functional MRI is able to detect adhesions.

Here's the citation:

Sonja Buhmann-Kirchhoff, Reinhold Lang, Chlodwig Kirchhoff, Heinrich Otto Steitz, Karl Walter Jauch, Maximilian Reiser and Andreas Lienemann, European Radiology, June 2008, Functional cine MR Imaging for the Detection and Mapping of Intraabdominal Adhesions: Method and Surgical Correlation,

The REAL question then becomes "What does one do about it?" I don't pretend to answer that question. I will only say that in my case, I've had 3 surgeons say to me, "I don't need to do any tests. Based on your history, I have no doubt you have adhesions. However, I'm not sure I can help you. You've had quite enough surgery."

Your doctor may say something quite different. Individual cases vary. It's a judgment that only a surgeon is qualified to make. Not me.

Yours,
