It can if your bowel is starting to become ischemic (lack of blood and
oxygen). This is extremely painful, though, and you wouldn't be able to
tolerate the pain. Bloody diarrhea can also be caused by Inflammatory Bowel
Disease - IBD (Chron's Disease, Ischemic Bowel or Ulcerative Colitis) This
is treated with steroids and other meds....you need to have this examined by
sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy with biopsy. I've had to be transfused in the
past because of this problem. Bloody diarrhea can also result in internal
adhesions.
