Hello all I had the bowel resection 4 weeks ago. It's going sloooow. My bowels are still not working properly. No hunger/thirst sensation, no appetite. I force myself to eat and it all tastes like cardboard.
After being at home for 2 weeks I had massive pain again,n/v. I went back to the hospital and was readmitted for an intraabdominal abcess the size of a lemon.
They placed a drain which I went home with and am still wearing. Taking antibiotics (Flagyl/Gati) that make me sick and vomit. Have a check up on Tuesday. I'm still waiting for things to be better than they were before.
To Margaret yes I'm getting Vit B12 shots. Thanks.
To Michele I'm so sorry for all your problems after surgery. My docs placed Stints into my Urethers before surgery for orientation. Take care Eva
