Pain Specialists help you manage your pain in different ways. First they try to find where the pain originates. They can use different "blocks" to giving you different medications.

I believe a good pain specialist can tell if a person is having real pain or not. I have worked with a wonderful pain specialist. The problem I have had is it seems hard to treat adesion pain. You can get a lot of relief though.

You do need to move around and not let the pain control you. Although I am having a hard time lately with it.

You can go to pain.com I believe and read about different options.

HI - WHAT DO THESE PAIN SPECIALISTS ACTUALLY DO? DO THEY 'TEACH US' WE DON'T HAVE ANY PAIN LIKE THE DOCTORS HAVE TRIED TO DO? (joking) OR DO THEY HELP WITH WHAT WE REALLY NEED - PAIN CONTROL... MEDS.
