Christine, I too am high risk for bowel obstructions. I had my last surgery almost 2 yrs ago where I ended up in ICU with 4 units of blood because the surgeon had nicked a main artery in my abdomin and never informed anyone what he had done. I almost lost my life.

So now I am trying to stay away from surgery and I am currently with a pain specialist. He has helped me manage my pain so that I am productive at home and work. I know that eventually I will have to have surgery again, but for now I am buying my time.

I understand what you are going through and I am so sorry that you are suffering. I know that there is another website you can go to for more info. It is http://www.adlap.com

I hope this helps and if you ever need to talk I am always here listening. Dee
