Belle,
I am in the same boat as you, went to a gastro doc, he doesn't even want
to admit possibility of adhesions "at this point" he says. He wanted to do
colonoscopy on me. I agreed. The test came out normal and I was bedridden
for 8 solid days from the prep and test. The prep made me violently ill.
shakes fever nauseated it was horrible. They told me I would only be sore
for a day or two. I tried to tell him it would be worse than that. he
wouldn't listen.
The test will show if the adhesions are blocking the intestine, or if
there is damage to intestines, but it won't show the adhesions. I am not
telling you to not take it, but be prepared. It definitely WILL affect you
more than they say or think it will. If you go thru with it you might want
to get pain meds, it caused some serious cramping and tenderness for me, I
couldn't stand up straight for 5 days.
