Did he mention, or question you about blood clots? The upper leg...meaning just below the knee is a prime location for blood clots and your arm could have one there as well. I have had one in both places and that is what I experienced as well. But, I would more suspect that your surgeons used gas in their procedure. I was just told today by an anesthesiologist that the number one complaint after surgery is pain in the shoulder area from the gas. Perhaps you can contact an anesthesiologist and ask him?
