hi doc, my name is karen thomas and i am 46 years old. i have been going through menopause since 1996 and still going through it. i am having sharp pains in my right fallopian. i haven't had sex in almost a year so pregnancy is ruled out, but i have the pain none-the-less. i have no discharge or fever or anything else just the pain. what could be wrong with me? should i worry. i smoke and i drink could that be it.i am concerned. it started today 03-30-03 at 4p.m. and still going strong. i have also put on a little weight. and i don't sleep very well. i haven't picked up on anything heavy. or exercised too much. i eat well balanced meals and drink large amounts of coffee. and believe it or not my breast is getting larger. they are not tender though. so let me know if i should panic or is it normal for menapausel women like myself.
