I also don't know if the IUD's are better now than years ago.
I do know when they were fairly new they weren't very good.
A woman I know had one in and it adhered to her uterus and she had to
have it cut out. She then got pregnant and had a severly deformed and
retarded daughter which she said was from the IUD.
