Dear Heater,

Just a couple of things that I hope will help you a little bit. I myself had 4 emergency surgeries for bowl obstruction and I went through the same fear as you. The symptons of a bowl obstruction are very specific as in nauseated, vomiting, hard and bloted stomach, fever. Anytime you fear you have an obstruction, just go to the hospital, it's better to be safe then sorry. A bowlobstruction can be life treatening !!! You know your body best and you have to listen to it. Make sure you continue to take lots of fluid at anytime and if you are too nauseated to eat, get some ensure or anything like that so at least you get all the necessary vitamins etc. Something else that might help is to blend your food, I haven't eaten unblended food in over 6 months now, but it helps for me. I continue to have partial blockages and I respond to that with only eating fluids and resting a lot.

Heater, these are my own experiences and nobody is the same, you will have to learn to listen to your body it will tell you what and when something is wrong!

Take care and all the best! If you need any info, please e-mail me at anytime.

Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, painfree new year!

Love, Pascale Vlaun
