Greetings, I have not posted a message in a long while either, I have been absent, but think of you all often. I read this message about adhesions and the sensitivity to the tummy, all I can say is me too! Sucks don't it? I had a complete hystorectomy in 2000 due to excessive abdominal adhesions, in 2001 I had my Gall Bladder taken out due to excessive vomiting. Well, the scar tissue (adhsions) rushed right back with a vengence, now they won't operate again until SprayGel is approved for use. Today I live in pain, but I am getting use to it, and I take pain meds to help keep the edge off. One of the things that bothers me a lot is pressure on my tummy, I wear streachy pants with the front elastic cut out, I wear my husbands jeans that are too big for me and just barely stay up around my waist, sort of just hang there on my hips. I sleep naked because the panites alone bother me. I wear a lot of dresses with no waist line, people always think I am dressed up because I find the long evening gowns work the best, they look nice, are slimming and are straight down to the floor, no waist line. Also I find it hard to shave my legs because I have to bend forward, so again the long evening gowns are nice because they hide my legs too. When I start hurting really bad, (I have chronic abdominal/pelvic pain) I have to strip away all the clothes from my tummy area. I know what you mean, by once it is irritated it takes a long time for it to calm back down. Another thing I swear by is hot water, like a deep bath, if I can lay in the tub and have enough water to cover my tummy, I can usually relax away some of that pain. Last but not least, I am having a terrible time eatting. It's like it hurts so much after I eat, that I would rather feel the pains of hunger than the pains that come with eatting. Consiquiently I have lost a lot of weight, my Dr. is finally eatting worried about the weight loss. Any suggestions? Well Good Luck and God Bless you All Hope things start getting better Tammy Lynn
