Dear Barb, I have been prescribed just about everything for the constipation. Nothing has seemed to work for me & I hated using the supositories & enemas. I now use a natural dietary supplement call Pro Biotic Restore. It is through Advocare. I don't get any of the cramping or bloating that I did with other meds. It works for the upper and lower digestice tract to encourage proper digestion. and it enhances immune functions. I had been constipated just about my whole life & when I was put on pain meds, it was even worse. Many times I had been partically blocked. Now, my bm's are soft. Before, I had extra pain with the bm's, but now I don't. I hope this information helps in some way. robin M
