Dear Theresa,

Pregnancy is something that none of us should take lightly, and I understand your fears and concerns. Lynn is right, you need to see a doctor ASAP. The people who respond to messages on the board are sufferers, not medical specialists and we can only relate our personal experiences to questions.

I suffered three miscarriages, between my third and fourth children.... it was devastating and even now it plays on my emotions to think about or talk about that time in my life.

When I fell pregnant for the fourth time in two years, I was terrified, I didn't want to face another miscarriage again... My husband & I thought about termination, but it really is against our beliefs and we agreed that I was pregnant because it was God's will.... yes it was a difficult, painful and long pregnancy. I was in and out of hospital for pain relief and I lost a substantial amount of weight. When Jessica was finally delivered by c-section on the 17 September 1992 I was a stone and a half lighter and extremely ill. Jessica on the other hand was eight and a half pounds and completely happy and healthy. We were relieved and delighted. Looking back now, I know that the pain I experienced was probably due to adhesions.

This isn't the place to find out if adhesions will make your pregnancy difficult, or result in miscarriage Theresa, you need to see a doctor, as soon as you can. Ask the doctor all the questions you can think of, if you still don't feel happy or comfortable with that doctor, find another. The worst thing you can do Theresa is worry.... so put worry out of your mind and go to the doctor now.

Please come back and tell us how you get on. If you would like to read my full story go to The Australian Adhesions Support Group http://www.bombobeach.com and look for the ARD stories on the left hand menu bar.

Love & warm gentle hugs, Jo
