HI, My name is Tammy and I have suffered for many years with adhesions in my abdominal area. Last year I was having some serious vomitting attacks that would last for weeks. A week before Christmas I had my gallbladder removed, after another two weeks of vomitting I finally stopped puking and started feeling a little better. Then about two months ago I started having pain in my side, like a sideach that wouldn't go away. My Dr. also said it may be the adhesions, HOWEVER, she also said she didn't want to say it was the adhesions and then have it be something else (now that is a good Dr.) So she ordered an Ultrasound to take a look at the liver, spleen, kidneys and such. Everything checked out ok, which means it is most likly the adhesions causing more pain and discomfort. I was taking a lot of Hydrocodone 7.5/500, my Dr. put my on a low doseage of oxycoton and it has helped. So I guess what I am saying is, take look at your history, remember that there may have been some adhesions that occured after your gallbladder operation (take a look at the adhesions home page and see if you can relate) Have you had other abdominal operations in the past? Do they know what was the cause for your gallbladder needing to be removed? Don't let your Dr. just put you off either, unless he/she has a good and believable explaination. You might ask your Dr. to do a test for precautionary reasons. Praying, and a Hot Bath feels good too. Hope this helps a little. God Bless and Take Care Tammy Lynn
