Dear Caroline A Laprascopic surgery will cause less adhesions, because, less area is cut into & tramatised. Depending on the person, a lap surgery recovery time is a couple of days to a week. If you are cut open, a week to 2 weeks recovery time! I hope this information helps. robin M
